Every year on 5 June, we observe World Environment Day, a day to take action to preserve our natural surroundings. This year we turn our attention to Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience. At the Academy for Environmental Leadership, we are passionate about developing future leaders and being stewards of our planet’s future. The Critical Challenge of Our Time
The message of this year’s World Environment Day is clear and pressing: we may be the last generation that can effectively combat the detrimental effects of climate change. The history of humanity can be likened to a story written over thousands of years. Similar to the planting of a seed, which when nurtured and cared for can become a great tree, we are stewards of this ancient story and should endeavour to see this story continue for man millennia. Let this day be the seed from which our collective action grows, writing a new chapter of restoration and resilience.
AEL’s Commitment to Environmental Restoration
At the Academy for Environmental Leadership (AEL) we are acutely aware of our role in shaping the guardians of our planet’s future.
